Rufus is part of the team. I can’t think about him in any different way.
He knows what we’re working on. He’s absorbed the brand and not only has he listened well but he’s bringing new ideas to the table and having someone with his skill set, understanding the nuances of our industry, understanding the nuances of style that I’m after and the direction that I’m giving him – he just seems to soak it up, and it makes my job so much simpler.
Working with Rufus is like spreading butter on bread that’s at the perfect temperature and it just goes on perfectly smooth and like one or two swipes. That’s what it’s like working with Rufus – and we know you know in the Pacific Northwest or the UK, a lot of times our butter is a little little bit cold, a little bit firm, and it just tears your bread apart. So that’s what it’s like not working with Rufus.
